Should you start Khalil Herbert in fantasy football this week? Our take for Week 10
The Cincinnati Bengals needed a second running back to take the place of the injured Zack Moss behind Chase Brown, so they traded for Chicago Bears RB Khalil Herbert.
It was a smart move, and Herbert has shown some flashes of good stuff over the years with Chicago.
And now, there’s news that he’s been attempting to learn the Bengals offense quickly and will suit up on Thursday night in the game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Which brings us to: should you start Herbert if you need to on Thursday?
Here’s my take: no. Not this week. Herbert could have some good days ahead if the Bengals want to balance Brown’s workload, but because Herbert is new to the offense AND the fact that he’s facing the toughest rushing defense in the NFL at 75.7 yards allowed per game, I’m seating him on my bench.
#Bengals’ newly acquired running back Khalil Herbert is expected to play tonight vs. the #Ravens, per sources. Herbert, traded from Chicago on Tuesday, worked aggressively over the last few days to get up to speed on Cincinnati’s offense. pic.twitter.com/u6Wv76m0Wm
