Vice President Kamala Harris conceded the 2024 presidential election on Wednesday. 1. Harris concedes, encouraging peaceful transfer of power
Vice President Harris on Wednesday conceded the 2024 presidential contest to President-elect Trump during remarks at her alma mater, Howard University, in which she also encouraged a peaceful transfer of power.
2. Teen charged in LG high school football bus incident
The Warren County Sheriff’s Office arrested an 18-year-old from Lake George concerning the incident that led to the cancelation of the Lake George, Warrensburg, and Bolton Landing football season. Deputies said the person’s name would not be released because of the defendant’s age.
3. Albany hotels used as migrant shelters set to close in December
The hotels in the city of Albany that were being used as migrant shelters are set to close in December. City Hall officials in New York City told NEWS10 that the hotel sites to house migrants, who were bussed to the Capital Region from New York City, will close before the end of the year.
4. Great Meadow Corrections permanently closed
Wednesday, November 6, 2024, is the day Great Meadow Correctional Facility closed its gates for good. The Time Served Bar and Grill held a ‘funeral’ in memory just across the road.
5. Restaurant opening in ex-Clifton Park Ninety-Nine space
Marrello Restaurants and Catering is opening up another restaurant in the former Ninety-Nine Restaurant building in Clifton Park. Owner Joe Marrello told NEWS10 they bought the building and the sale was finalized at the beginning of November.
