Laura Vaughan’s MAFS UK diary: There’s something going on with Luke that they’re not showing us – he can’t be honest
LAST night we had the final Married At First Sight UK dates – and they really pushed the boat out.
Lacey and Nathan got a helicopter ride. It was quite cute and I can see them working on the outside.
But I can’t say that for any of the other couples…
Adam and Polly went off roading and then had a cute little picnic set up. Adam gave her a memory box – which was very cute – but then it descended into another argument.
I don’t know how many more ways Adam needs to tell Polly he’s not interested in her, for her to realise that he’s not interested in her.
At this point he is screaming it in her face and she still doesn’t see it.
I don’t know if she’s just choosing not to see it, she’s happy to be delusional or she’s just so desperate for it to work that she’s ignoring all the screaming red flags.
He literally told her that he can’t tell her he cares for her and he’s not very good at compliments, even though he was quite complimentary when he was swapped with Amy.
I’m confused – Polly, you need to end it because it’s not working. He doesn’t like you, he’s there for the ride.
I know Amy’s getting a lot of backlash but I stand with her because there is something about Luke that we are not seeing.
I know the public are behind him because he’s quite funny but let’s be honest – he told her he’d only had two relationships, then it was six and then it was eight. Now it’s 15 – he does not know how to tell the truth.
The lie itself doesn’t matter very much but it’s more about what the lie represents. He’s incapable of being honest in a relationship and can any of us say that’s what we actually want in a marriage.
I’m just getting the vibes that’s there’s something happening off camera with him that is escalating the situation with Amy.
I don’t believe she would have just walked off over those questions she was asking. I think there’s something going on with him that they’re not showing.
I’m sick of seeing strong women like Amy being vilified by the public – let’s put the blame where it belongs. It belongs with the man who is lying to her.
Sacha and Ross’ date was quite cute. They went ice skating, it was a nice date but I’ve said before that I think their relationship is very unsafe and I don’t see it working.
The irony of her really condemning Alex for his behaviour… we’re almost seeing the same behaviour in Ross.
