I’ve only realised I’ve been drying my jeans wrong & it’s why they take so long – my hack will make laundry quicker
A CLEANING fan has just discovered that she’s been drying her jeans all wrong – and has found a much quicker way to get them dry.
Trish realised her usual technique, which involved folding the jeans so the back pockets faced outwards and weaving them through the rail, wasn’t the best method.
Taking to her TikTok page @trishisroyal, she shared a video demonstrating her new drying discovery.
“I was today years old when I realised that I was hanging my pants all wrong,” Trish said.
She demonstrated the “usual” way and urged people to stop using it.
Then, she showed her “new” technique, which she believes also saves space on the drying rack.
Instead, Trish folds her jeans so both legs are together, then weaves them through the rails with one side on the drying rack.
Finally, she lifts one end of the jean leg and places it to the other side of the rail.
This simple change has made a big difference in how quickly her jeans dry.
Her video gained a lot of attention with over 56,000 likes and over 1,330 comments.
Many rushed to share their thoughts on her new technique.
One wrote: “Omg, I love this. Going to do this right now!”
Whilst someone else said: “Clever.”
And another added: “Thank you! 2
However, others, who have tested it out, thought it took the “same amount of space up.”
We previously revealed another technique on how to dry your wet washing inside – and it’s said to be better than a tumble dryer.
A resourceful woman was ecstatic with her budget-friendly purchase, which costs less than 6p an hour to run.
Thrilled with her find from B&M for just £30, Rachel Storey took to social media to share the news, leaving many amazed.
Posting in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, a private Facebook group with 2.5 million members, Rachel revealed she managed to snag the Addis Swift Dry Heated Airer Pod.
Originally priced at £40, this fantastic buy, which uses less energy than a tumble dryer and dries clothes quickly, was reduced by £10 to just £30.
Rachel praised her B&M purchase, noting its easy assembly and compact storage, writing: “If anyone is looking for a solution to getting their washing dry but doesn’t want to spend over £100 on a heated airer, I bought this from my local B&M yesterday.”

- Tumble Dryer Balls: Add tumble dryer balls to your dryer to help clothes dry faster and reduce static cling.
- Space-Saving Hangers: Use space-saving hangers or a retractable washing line to maximise indoor drying space.
