Fan shows world Bloodborne on PS5 Pro but we are struggling to see the difference
IT’S the PS5 Pro’s launch day, and everyone wants to know just how much it improves their favourite games.
In particular, everyone is looking for a version of Bloodborne that matches the quality of a PlayStation 5 game.
It’s very difficult to tell the difference in the 3D images of Bloodborne[/caption] But you can see that the text is clearer if you look closely[/caption] You have to zoom in a lot before the differences are noticeable[/caption]Bloodborne is often considered one of the best games of all time, but it has never seen a release on the current generation of consoles.
However, people thought that with the Enhanced Image Quality settings of the PS5 Pro, people were hoping that Bloodborne would finally shine as it should.
One Bloodborne fan took to Twitter to share images of the game they took with their PS5 Pro.
Firstly, they showed screenshots comparing gameplay with and without enhancements, and then they zoomed in on the test.
As translated by GLHF, their tweets read: “The first picture shows the PS4 game with Enhanced Image Quality turned off, and the second image it’s turned on, but it’s hard to see the difference.
“Looking at these enlarged images of Bloodborne… it’s obvious that the letters have improved.”
These comments are echoed by Digital Foundry, which goes deep into the technical aspects of gaming hardware and software.
It says: “In Bloodborne.. It doesn’t do much for the 3D content, but you look at the UI and you’re like ‘Wow. This is almost like 4k native UI.”
Looking at the images, you can see that the text is indeed sharper, but overall there is very little difference.
The screenshots of the actual gameplay look the same, which is what most players really care about.
Borne Again
We were hoping for a lot more from the PS5 Pro, particularly when looking at beloved PS4 games that never received visual enhancements.
Those who are very serious about graphical fidelity might want to purchase the PS5 Pro, but the average person likely won’t see the difference.
The console release still seems a strange move from Sony, particularly at the sky-high price point.
