Strictly star lands brand new gritty crime series for the BBC
A Strictly Come Dancing star is set to ring in the new year with a compelling BBC documentary series charting criminal activity in the UK.
Tv presenter Stacey Dooley will investigate shoplifting in the UK- which is estimated to cost British businesses over £1.8 billion a year.

During the programme Stacey will investigative why people steal ans Stacey will also look at the impact that shoplifting is having on businesses.
She will interview the staff who have been abused as they do their daily jobs and uncover the impact that repeat shoplifting is having on their lives.
She will also chat to the professionals who are employed to help catch the thieves
Viewers will be shocked to find out about some of the extreme measures some businesses are having to take to avoid losing hundreds and thousands of pounds of stock.
Investigative journalist Stacey holds an MBE and has investigated some compelling issues while presenting.
She has produced over 70 documentaries for the BBC and has two other series in the works along with an additional film.
Stacey rose to fame in 2008 after appearing on Blood Sweat and T Shirts – which highlighted the horrendous plight of those exploited for child labour.
She has recently been awarded the Grierson Trustee Award for her outstanding contribution to the art and craft of documentary.
“I’m incredibly honoured to receive the Grierson Trustee Award,” Stacey said.
“With a significant rise in shoplifting, it feels more important than ever to spend proper time with the people and complexities involved.
“This recognition fuels my commitment to keep telling these stories, and I’m thankful for all the support – and those who have backed me from the start – that allows me to keep pushing forward.”
Stacey won Strictly Come Dancing in 2018 with her dance partner Kevin Clifton.
The couple got together after the show and welcomed a baby girl last January.
Stacey was the original host of BBC Three‘s Glow Up, which set out to find Britain’s next makeup star.
