£42m star dropped, 2 big changes | Expected Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs PAOK with Amad decision made
Manchester United will be aiming to return to winning ways when they host PAOK in the Europa League tonight.
The Red Devils played out a 1-1 draw against Chelsea in the Premier League last weekend.
They could have easily won the game, having created four big chances at Old Trafford.
United can redeem themselves with their first win of the Europa League campaign tonight.
Interim boss Ruud van Nistelrooy could make a couple of changes from the Blues draw.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Predicted Line-up:
Andre Onana has been splendid between the sticks, but he could have done better to prevent Moises Caicedo’s long-range effort. He will want to make amends with a clean sheet.
The backline should stay unchanged. Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui are poised to start from the right and left-back positions respectively.
Similarly, Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez are expected to continue in the heart of the defence.
Manuel Ugarte had another poor outing against the Blues where he won just two out of 13 duels.
With Christian Eriksen back in full training, we won’t be surprised if the £42 million-rated star makes way.
Eriksen has been at his creative best in recent months and could accompany Casemiro, who has been one of United’s best players since the international break with goals and defensive contributions.
Further forward, Marcus Rashford could be handed a breather after he was spotted training individually. Amad Diallo is the most likely candidate to replace the Englishman in the starting line-up.
Alejandro Garnacho should start on the left wing with Diallo on the right. Bruno Fernandes is guaranteed to feature in the number 10 role and the same can be said for Rasmus Hojlund up front.
Joshua Zirkzee has not scored in his last 13 appearances and could be limited to another cameo.
