Two Kansas Legislature races are too close to call, audits begin
TOPEKA (KSNT) - Election results are coming in for multiple races in the Kansas Legislature Wednesday.
KSNT 27 News consulted with the Kansas Secretary of State's (SOS) unofficial election results to see where things stand a day after the General Election for the various house and senate races in the state's Legislature. Numerous positions within the statehouse were up for grabs this year with two seats resulting in close-race audits by the SOS.
Close-race audits are performed if the election is within 1% of the total votes cast and report on election night, according to the SOS. The races which will be audited are for Kansas Senate District 5 and Kansas House District 49. Results listed below are current as of 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 6.
