Chrissy Teigen & John Legend’s Adorable Babies Sing About ‘Love’ for a Timeline Cleanse: ‘When There Are No Words’
If you’ve been doomscrolling since you saw the results of the 2024 election early this morning, then you’re not alone. It’s been an incredibly anxiety-fueled day, which is being rejoiced by the worst people in our nation. It can feel impossible not to get swept up in the darkness! If that sounds like you, then head to Chrissy Teigen’s Instagram page for a timeline cleanse. The Cravings author, who worked alongside husband John Legend to campaign for democratic nominee Kamala Harris, shared an adorable video of her two youngest babies singing about love today.
“when there are no words, there is music ❤️” the Chrissy & Dave Dine Out star posted on Instagram today. In the video, her daughter Esti, 21 months, and son Wren, 15 months, help their dad sing his new kids’ song “L-O-V-E.” Esti sits on a bench next to her dad as he plays the piano, and Wren stands nearby, reaching up on his tippy toes to bang the keys.
“Love, love, love, keeps us together,” Legend croons. “Love, love, love, warm like a sweater.”
“Aren’t you glad to know that you’ve got love?” he continues, as his babies bang the keys and sing along in their baby babble. It’s enough to make you cry!
The comments were full of love. “Thank your entire family for how much you supported Kamala and Tim! Your spirit, your words, your fight all made a positive impact on so many! I appreciate you!!!!” one person commented. Another wrote, “Thank you JOHN for remaining positive… being a mom is hard today.”
“I wish my kids were this age so they didn’t know what was happening. Unfortunately they do and they sobbed. And I let them. I didn’t tell them not to. I let them grieve,” another person heart-breakingly wrote.
Over the summer, Teigen and Legend brought their kids (including 8-year-old Luna and 6-year-old Miles) to meet Vice President Harris at the White House, where Teigen helped host a Q&A session for reproductive rights activists, physicians, and influencers.
“I’m still glowing from this moment when my Luna (in her adorable mini power suit) met VP Harris at the White House this past June,” Teigen wrote on Instagram in August, sharing a gorgeous picture of Luna all dressed up in a pink power suit to meet the VP.
“It’s a powerful reminder of what can happen when young girls are able to see themselves in the person who holds the highest office in the land,” Teigen continued. “And my favorite part? Tearing up with the knowledge that this will be a photo Luna will look back on forever.”
She also shared how “incredibly inspiring” it was to see Harris at the Democratic National Convention over the summer, where her husband performed, and she got to see Harris “passionately addressing the issues that matter deeply to us and our children.” Teigen continued, “From maternal and reproductive rights, to the economy (which she accurately highlights as a women’s issue), gun violence legislation, and affordable education, her dedication and vision gives me so much HOPE for the future. Kamala isn’t just the kind of role model I want for Luna, she’s also exactly the leader we all need right now. Now let’s go DO SOMETHING! #HarrisWalz2024”
