Sophie Turner graced Harper’s Bazaar’s 2024 Women of the Year Awards held at Claridge’s Hotel yesterday in London. The star-studded event was hosted in partnership with The Platinum Card by American Express. The actress received the “Performance Award” for her work in the hit series “Joan.”
Opting out of flashy footwear, Turner chose a classic all-black So Kate silhouette hailing from Christian Louboutin. Retailing for $795 via Ssense, the shoe pick featured glossy jet-black patent calfskin uppers accompanied by sharp pointed toes and contrasting blood-red bottoms, a signature design detail for the French fashion house. 4.7-inch stiletto heels offered Turner a substantial boost, creating the illusion of length and height effortlessly.
No matter the color or heel height, Louboutin’s So Kate silhouette is immensely popular among famous folk. Zendaya, Selena Gomez, Blake Lively and Anya Taylor-Joy can all attest to the shoe’s popularity, given they’ve made the pump their signature shoe for formal occasions. The So Kate is a classic, worn and re-worn by top stars since its conception in 2013. The So Kate was made to offer audiences an alternative to the brand’s equally successful Kate heel.
Feeling frisky, the “Game of Thrones” actress donned a fringy cream minidress hailing from Louis Vuitton. The designer garment featured long sleeves and textural fringe throughout, giving the dress movement and a unique shape. As for accessories, Turner kept it simple, only adorning her ears with a pair of dangling Louis Vuitton Bravery Elan Vital earrings.
When it comes to shoes, Turner’s style merges retro and edgy aesthetics. The star often dons Louis Vuitton pumps, boots and sandals on and off the red carpet, as she’s one of the brand’s ambassadors and muse to designer Nicolas Ghesquière. However, she’s also appeared at events in heels from Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo and Stuart Weitzman over the years.
