Road work on Topeka Boulevard to start on Wednesday
TOPEKA (KSNT) – Work crews are set to start a road work project on Topeka Boulevard on Wednesday that may impact traffic through the city.
The City of Topeka announced in a social media post on Nov. 5 that workers with Schmidtlein Excavating Inc. will be conducting a road work project between Southwest 33rd Street and just north of the westbound Southwest 32nd Terrace entrance along Southwest Topeka Boulevard. Workers will be on site starting on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
Drivers will be unable to use the inside southbound and northbound lanes on Southwest Topeka Boulevard during this time. Traffic will be shifted to the outside north and south lanes along with restricted turning abilities.
The City of Topeka said one lane both southbound and northbound along Southwest Topeka Boulevard will be maintained at all times during the project. Workers are set to finish the project in two to three weeks.
