Sunshine, warmth returns to Portland area Wednesday
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Morning fog will fade to mostly sunny skies as the greater Portland-Vancouver area prepares for warmer conditions.
Patchy morning fog will reduce visibility for some along the Willamette Valley Wednesday. Visibility will improve through the mid-morning hours as sunny skies and warmer temperatures return.
Afternoon temperatures will warm into the upper 50s to low 60s Wednesday. A ridge of high pressure will cause much of the Pacific Northwest to remain mild and dry through the end of the week. Wet weather isn't expected to return to the region until this weekend.
High mountain passes will likely begin to melt over the next few days. Mountain passes will see slightly warmer conditions with little to no addition precipitation. More moisture is possible by this weekend and continue through the start of next week.
Dry and mild conditions will fade this weekend as the chance for showers returns Saturday night. Rainy conditions will likely continue into the start of next week.
