Netflix’s gripping new drama Missing You has release date confirmed after huge success of Michelle Keegan’s Fool Me Once
AFTER the amazing success of Fool Me Once, Netflix has announced the release date for their new limited series Missing You based on another novel from Harlan Coben.
Missing You features Harlan’s usual blend of twists, turns, and shocks that will have you wondering what’s going on until the very end of the series.
The new show Missing You arrives on Netflix sooner than you think[/caption] Detective Kat Donovan is distraught when her fiancé Josh goes missing[/caption] Lenny Henry plays Clint Donovan[/caption]Adapted from Harlan’s novel of the same name, it’s the author’s latest collaboration with Netflix, following other must-see series like Stay Close, Fool Me Once and The Stranger.
The limited series focuses on Kat Donovan, a detective played by actress Rosalind Eleazar who specialises in Missing Persons.
Rosalind previously starred in an episode of Master of None on Netflix and is probably best known for her role in the fan favourite TV show Slow Horses.
In Missing You, Kat’s fiancé Josh, vanished eleven years ago without a trace, and she hasn’t heard or seen him since.
Now, as Kat swipes on dating profiles she suddenly sees his face again and her world turns upside down.
Josh’s sudden reappearance will force her to revisit the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and face long-buried secrets from her past.
However, the one secret that readers don’t have to wait for is that the series arrives on New Years Day giving you plenty of time to grab your popcorn and favourite drink.
Missing you also stars Ashley Walters, Richard Armitage, Sir Lenny Henry, Steve Pemberton, Jessica Plummer, Mary Malone, Lisa Faulkner and James Nesbitt.
The novel takes place in New York City, but the series relocates the story to the UK.
Filming took place in and around Manchester and the North West of England.
MICHELLE Keegan’s hit Netflix drama Fool Me Once has been watched almost 100million times around the globe.
The streaming giant recently revealed that their adaptation of the Harlan Coben thriller has been their biggest UK hit of 2024 so far.
Netflix issued a report to shareholders boasting about the success of the show fronted by former Coronation Street star Michelle who is expected to make more dramas for the streaming service.
A TV insider said: “Netflix is thrilled by the response to Fool Me Once and the appreciation of the drama’s leading lady.
