Strictly Come Dancing fan-favourite challenge returns for first time in SIX years – and it’s just days away
STRICTLY Come Dancing’s fan-favourite challenge will be returning to our screens for first time in SIX years – and it’s just days away.
The much-loved Dance-A-Thon – which first took place back in 2009 – has been a popular segment over the years.

During this evening’s episode of It Takes Two, it was revealed that the celebrities and their partners will try and impress with this year’s Samba-Thon on November 23rd.
After showing off their best dance moves to the judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke, the remaining couples will head back to the floor for their group dance.
The judges will then decide who they want to eliminate one by one, so they will have to show off their best Samba moves.
The last couple of the dance floor is then crowned the winner – and they are awarded seven points.
Meanwhile the first one to be eliminated is awarded just one point, followed by the second with two.
Their scores from the Samba-Thon will be added to their main dance scores – meaning that how they do in the challenge could help them stay in the competition.
Strictly fans will have to wait until next weekend to find out who is taking part.
They will be able to watch the Samba-Thon on Saturday 23rd November.
Blackpool Week is just days away – and some fans are certain a celeb’s next dance will see them through.
In week seven – otherwise known as Icons Week – the two were bottom of the leaderboard with 22 points.
However, viewers believe Pete’s next dance will see him advance to the prestigious Blackpool week.
One person wrote on Reddit: “Couples choice for weakest dancers.
“Definitely helping get Pete through.”
Another added: “Pete’s couples choice is gonna see him sneak through again isn’t it.”
A third commented: “The producers have given up on trying to even keep in JB and Shayne who are probably due to face each other in the DO with Chris & Pete playing the CC card.”
Meanwhile Tasha Ghouri was left almost in tears on The One Show on Tuesday when her mum and dad surprised her with an emotional message.
The Love Island star appeared on the show with pro partner Aljaz Skorjanec after their dance routine to Pink’s track What About Us? over the weekend.
Tasha opened up about the backlash from viewers over her previous dance experience.
The interview was then interrupted when Alex Jones revealed they had a special message from Tasha’s mum and dad.
Her mum Nicky said: “The dance on Saturday was just absolutely amazing. I’m kind of lost for words.
“It was moving, it was powerful and it was so meaningful. And it meant so much to you and so much to us.
“I’m probably going to start crying again. Well done, we love you so much.”
Dad Tarek added: “Tash, I was already full of pride the second you were born and you keep piling it on. The overflow is now tears.
“With or without disabilities, people can often feel in a dark place. And your performance resonated with so many people for different reasons.
“Your passion for helping others is admirable. You have a very, very special heart. Never change, darling. We all love you, Princess and, Aljaz, thanks for everything.”
