I caught my husband having sex with his ‘favourite’ cousin in our home – I was asleep upstairs while they were at it
A WOMAN revealed the shocking discovery she made under her own roof.
She recounted the night that she walked in on her husband having an affair, but that wasn’t the worst part as the other woman was revealed to be someone who she never expected.
In her Reddit post, the unnamed user explained the unpleasant and disgusting situation she found herself in.
The 39-year-old shared that she has been married to her husband for 15 years.
“My husband has never cheated on me or so I’d like to believe,” she wrote.
The woman said she had no reason to be suspicious of her 42-year-old partner throughout their relationship.
She explained that her husband is “the kind of man” who does not flirt, making her feel confident in his fidelity.
“We are happily married with two kids and pretty decent finances as well,” she added.
However, things soon changed when her husband’s head was turned, and by someone she was sure she wouldn’t have to worry about.
“He has a favorite cousin and all [their] family members say they’ve been tight since childhood,” she explained.
The Reddit user added that she was content to welcome the 36-year-old into her home “since her presence makes my husband happier than usual.”
Not long into the cousin’s visit, the poster saw something unusual that left her feeling “devastated” and that could potentially damage her children’s futures.
“Unfortunately, I woke up late in the night and did not see my husband,” she explained.
While the woman said this was not a strange occurrence, she still decided to go “in search of him” after using the bathroom.
After noticing his study was empty, she went downstairs to continue looking for him.
“I went downstairs, heading to the kitchen when I heard some subtle sound coming out of the guest room,” she said.
“I ignored and walked past as I thought [his cousin] had a guy over for a one-night stand.
Can I marry my cousin in the UK?
ACROSS Tthe globe, more than 10% of marraiages are between first and second cousins.
In the UK, there’s no legal bar to two cousins having a relationship.
That means that if you end up falling for the children of your aunts and uncles, there’s nothing stopping you from eventually tying the knot.
If you’re over the age of 18, you can do this without the consent of your legal guardian or parent.
First-cousin marriages were once quite common in Europe, especially among the elite.
Marriage between first cousins more than doubles the chance of having a child with potentially life-threatening defects, according to research.
Out of 11,000 births between 2007 and 2011 in Bradford, more than 2,000 babies were born from first cousin parents.
The children had a 6% chance of having an abnormality from birth, compared to the average of 3%.
Children born to parents that were related but not first cousins also had a higher chance of abnormalities.
“When I didn’t find my husband in the kitchen, I feared the worst so I barged into the guest room and there he was, stark naked having sex with [his cousin].”
The woman recalled how she “just stood there frozen” not knowing what to do about their disgusting behaviour.
She explained how the discovery left her “wondering if my life for the past decade has been a lie.”
The woman added that neither her husband nor his cousin had brought up the reprehensible incident.

“Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry what an awful thing to walk in on,” said another commenter.
“This likely started when they were kids. Can I be the first to just say: ‘Ew, yuck, on multiple levels,'” wrote a third person.
