Morning Briefing: OMG Sign Inducted Into Hall of Fame
Good morning, Mets fans!
The Mets’ iconic OMG sign was sent to Cooperstown as a donation to the Baseball Hall of Fame. It quickly became somewhat of a mascot for the Mets’ magical 2024 run, and was consistently used in celebrations. While the Mets didn’t quite meet their ultimate goal, it’ll now live forever in Cooperstown.

The Rangers hired Skip Schumaker as a senior adviser to president of baseball operations Chris Young, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reported. They’re also expected to bring along Schumaker’s former bench coach with the Marlins, Luis Urueta.
The no-longer-Oakland A’s GM, David Forst, clarified that the team will be holding on to Brent Rooker.
Cody Asche, once a Las Vegas 51 while in the Mets’ organization, will now be the Orioles’ hitting coach, Roch Kubatko of MASN reported.
