2. New York votes in favor of Proposition 1
The amendment to the New York constitution would forbid discrimination based on “gender identity” and “pregnancy outcomes.” The vote on the proposition is serving as a referendum on transgender and abortion rights.

Democrat Josh Riley has won New York’s 19th congressional district over Republican incumbent Marc Molinaro. The Associated Press has called the race with almost 100% of precincts reporting.

Democrat Paul Tonko has won reelection in New York’s 20th congressional district. The Associated Press has called the race for Tonko over Republican challenger Kevin Waltz.
5. Democrat Lee Kindlon wins Albany County DA race
Democrat Lee Kindlon has won the Albany County District Attorney race. According to the Albany County Board of Elections, Kindlon won 65% of the vote, beating Republican Ralph Ambrosio and incumbent David Soares.
