THIS is the horrifying moment ice hockey star Dylan Holloway collapsed after being hit in the neck by the puck.
The St Louis Blues faced Tampa Bay Lightning in the NHL today, with the match overshadowed by worrying scenes in the first period.
Nicholas Paul accidentally fired the puck into rival Holloway from close range and it powerfully struck his neck.
The 23-year-old Canadian appeared unhurt at first, racing away and having a shot at goal.
He continued skating for around 30 seconds seemingly fine before tilting his head and coming off the rink.
Holloway briefly sat on the bench and then collapsed in terrifying scenes just seconds later.
Medics rushed over to the player and held his neck before taking him away on a stretcher.
The game was paused while he was receiving treatment and his concerned team-mates were took a knee on the ice.
Holloway was rushed to hospital and the game continued, with the St Louis Blues winning 3-2.
Reporter Frank Seravalli claims the star is now OK.
He posted on X: “Holloway is going to be okay. His airway is open and unobstructed.
“There’s no swelling around his neck, precautionary scan scheduled at hospital.
“Holloway’s parents were in town for the game and are with him at hospital.”
The centre, who was the 14th overall draft pick in 2020, was supposedly “alert and responsive” while in the ambulance that left the stadium.
