Preview
“They have the momentum. But it’s the same thing with us. We had the momentum after two games and now it’s shifted. That’s the finals. That’s basketball,” Reyes said.
“In a seven-game series of two very good teams, momentum can really shift both ways. They definitely have the momentum; we have to find a way to stop it.”
Ginebra is slowly hitting its stride after losing the first two games as it breached the century mark in scoring for the first time in its 106-92 win in Game 4.
The rout saw Gin Kings import Justin Brownlee submit his highest scoring performance of the finals, firing 34 points on an ultra-efficient 11-of-16 shooting.
Maverick Ahanmisi and Stephen Holt also delivered with 18 points each, with Reyes pointing to the two guards as the difference makers in Game 4.
To rediscover its winning ways, TNT aims to fine-tune its defense.
In Games 1 and 2, the Tropang Giga contained Ginebra to an average of 86 points, marking the first time the Gin Kings got limited to under 90 points in back-to-back games this conference.
TNT import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson also needs help as he averages 27 points, 11.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 2 steals, and 1.3 blocks.
