Lobbying World: Treasury appointee joins Cornerstone
Ron Storhaug is joining Cornerstone Government Affairs’s federal government relations team ahead of the 2025 tax fight. Storhaug was previously deputy assistant secretary for tax and budget at the Treasury Department’s Office of Legislative Affairs and was previously the senior economic policy adviser for Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.).
Arshi Siddiqui has launched the boutique lobbying firm Bellwether Government Affairs, which will represent clients on a broad range of issues but focus heavily on the 2025 tax policy fight. Siddiqui, who was most recently a partner at Akin, was previously a senior policy adviser and counsel to Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and is a House Ways and Means Committee alum.
Holland & Knight has added Patricia “Tricia” Duffy as a partner on the firm’s financial services team in Washington, D.C. She was most recently at Latham & Watkins.
Stacey K. Sutton and Amanda R. Jesteadt have joined Wiley Rein as partners in the telecom, media and technology practice.
LSG has hired Erin Billings as partner. She was most recently a partner at Global Strategy Group and is a Podesta Group and BGR Group alum.
Narrative Strategies added Bryan Bashur as a director. Bashur was most recently director of financial policy at Americans for Tax Reform and is a Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and University of Virginia alum (wahoowa).
Narrative has also hired Chance Nyi as an accountant, Caroline Doran as a senior associate, and Hannah Lewis, Frances Noll and Abby Romano as associates.
The Edison Electric Institute (EEI) has appointed Pat Vincent-Collawn as interim president and CEO after Dan Brouillette announced last week that he is stepping down from the post. Vincent-Collawn is chair and CEO of TXNM Energy and an EEI board member.
The Beer Institute has named Caitlin Harder director of public affairs.
The Public Affairs Council elected Courtney Geduldig, chief corporate affairs officer of National Grid, as its 2024-25 chair.
