BBC One in major schedule shake-up as a FULL NIGHT of television is scrapped
BBC ONE has announced a major schedule shake-up as a full night of television is scrapped.
Bosses at the broadcaster have ditched several fan-favourite shows for a live telly special.
Children in Need’s live special will see a full night of television axed in a schedule shake-up[/caption] MasterChef: The Professionals is a casualty of the changes[/caption]This year’s Children in Need campaign will broadcast on Friday, November 15th.
Ade Adepitan MBE, Mel Giedroyc, Rochelle Humes, Vernon Kay, Chris Ramsey and Lenny Rush will all host the annual event.
Live coverage kicks off from 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer, running for a whopping three hours.
However, it means that Alex Jones and Roman Kemp have been pulled off air from The One Show.
The magazine show isn’t the only casualty of the schedule changes, with MasterChef: The Professionals also axed.
Fans will have to wait for their next John Torode and Gregg Wallace fix until the following week.
Long-running satirical series Have I Got News For You has also been ousted from its 9pm slot.
During the night viewers will see the Children in Need choir performing anthemic Take That classic ‘Never Forget’.
Paddy McGuinness will also be finding out just how much money he’s raised from his Radio 2 Ultra Endurance Cycle Challenge.
The BBC also teased: “The One Show’s Challenge Squad, which features young people who have been supported by BBC Children in Need projects, will culminate in two live performances in the BBC Children in Need Studio, alongside some very special guests including the multi-platinum selling artist Ella Henderson.
“The audience can also expect a special performance from the cast of COME ALIVE! The Greatest Showman, which is a brand-new Circus Spectacular.”
