A woman has revealed how she transformed her kitchen whilst on a budget[/caption] Using cheap buys from the high-street, Sam Conway has proved that you can polish up anything[/caption] She took to social media to share her kitchen’s overhaul[/caption] And left social media users gobsmacked with her trendy new space[/caption]Sam Conway, a savvy mum from the UK, explained that thanks to bargain buys from Dunelm and Wilko, she was able to turn her dated and dull kitchen into a fresh, modern space.
Thrilled with her DIY transformation, Sam took to social media to share a before and after look at the space, leaving many open-mouthed.
Posting online, on DIY On A Budget, a private Facebook page with 2.2 million members, Sam shared snaps of her kitchen before its overhaul, as well as pictures of the finished space, leaving many open-mouthed.
What was once in need of some serious TLC, with orange flooring, old-fashioned floral tiles and brown cupboards, has been given a fresh new look.
Now, the space is incredibly modern and chic, with stunning herringbone style flooring and cool cream cupboards.
The tiles and worktops have been given an update and the space has been glammed up with trendy black accessories too.
Thrilled with the cheap makeover, Sam wrote: “Unbelievably proud of how our budget kitchen refurb has turned out.”
She then confirmed that she painted the kitchen tiles using Johnstone’s Revive Tile Paint in white.
She also painted the kitchen cabinets with a cupboard and furniture paint in ‘Perfectly Greige’ from Wilko.
Not only this, but she updated the cupboards with new chrome handles and got new herringbone lino vinyl flooring from Online Carpets.
To give the once dark worktops a brighten up, she used D-C-Fix ‘Ribbeck Oak’ vinyl film and also got a made to measure blind from Blinds4You.
In addition to this, Sam nabbed a trendy, matte black light fitting, a striped door mat and a towel rail from Dunelm.
