DONALD Trump was pictured pouring over his speech as he prepared to declare victory in the US election.
He was also pictured staring at a TV screen declaring he had won the election after winning vital swing states.
Speaking to his fans, Trump declared victory[/caption]It was posted by his son Eric who wrote: “We did it”.
Both pictures were shared as he was minutes away from delivering a speech to his adoring fans in Florida.
Trump hailed a “new golden age” as he appeared with his family and supporters, including his teenage son Barron and wife Melania.
He was speaking to crowds of fans chanting “USA, USA” at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in Florida.
It was a stark contrast to the campaign HQ of his rival Kamala Harris – who wrapped up events early are not expected to make any remarks.
Trump secured what he needed to return to the White House for a second term in what is shaping up to be a shock landslide.
He won the key states North Carolina, Georgia and Pennsylvania – taking three of the seven swing states.
Speaking to fans Trump promised to “heal” the country and said it would “truly be the golden age for America”.
“Every single day I will be fighting for you, with every single breath in my body.
“I will not rest until we have delivered the strong, safe and prosperous America that children deserve,” he said.
“And that you deserve.
“This will truly be the golden age for America.”
Trump added: “Frankly I believe this was the greatest political movement of all time.”
“We have a country that needs help very badly”, he told the audience, promising to “fix everything”.
He declared: “It’s clear that… this is a political victory”.
Fans of the Republican nominee gathered outside the Palm Beach Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, in the early hours.
The mood drastically changed in the two camps in recent hours – with reports of “silence” at the Democrat’s campaign HQ, in contrast to a party atmosphere at resort Mar-a-Lago.
Pictures from the Harris camp in DC showed downcast voters amid reports of a “silent” atmosphere as early celebrations wound down.
Meanwhile fans deserted the arena grounds in the early hours – as a Trump victory looked more and more likely.
Fox News reported that Harris’ press spokesperson has told staff not to talk to the media.
