Fate of BBC daytime quiz show fronted by Roman Kemp revealed after two series on air
TV Bosses have made a decision on the future of a BBC daytime quiz show fronted by Roman Kemp.
The Finish Line, which typically aired during the day on BBC One, saw contestants race in moving podiums across the studio floor as they aimed to be the first one to the finish line and to get their hands on £5,000.

As well as appearing on The One Show, Roman has fronted The Finish Line for two seasons.
The quiz show has now been renewed for a third season, and has opened up applications for those wanting to take part and try to win the £5,000 cash prize.
The game show sees Roman Kemp as quizmaster assisted by sidekick Sarah Greene, and has already ran for two series and won over fans.
The third season is currently recruiting for quiz hopefuls, with applications open until 6 December.
The application website calls for keen quiz takes as it asks: “Have you got what it takes to win the ultimate quiz race?
“Are you up for some fun and the chance to win £5,000?!
“APPLY NOW and you could be joining hosts Roman Kemp & Sarah Greene in the studio!”
The Finish Line is commissioned for BBC One and BBC iPlayer by Rob Unsworth, Head of BBC Daytime and Early Peak, and the Commissioning Editor is Alex McLeod.
The Finish Line is produced with funding from Northern Ireland Screen by Potato, in partnership with Nice One Productions.
The series is executive produced by Potato’s Michael Kelpie, Adam Adler and Nice One’s Chris Jones.
The continued role for Roman Kemp as quizmaster, also comes as the star recently revealed a feud with an actor from the James Bond films.
Speaking to Peter Crouch on his Therapy Crouch podcast, the TV and radio star recounted the awkward encounter.
When the former footballer asked who his best and worst interviewees had been, Roman revealed a star from the James Bond films had ‘made him cry’.
Whilst the name of the actor wasn’t revealed, The One Show host assured it was not Daniel Craig and had been someone who is “terrifying in his films”.
He added: “He is like that in real life and I sat there and I asked him this question, and it wasn’t even a bad question, and then he sat and he thought.
“And then he just went, ‘Okay. For the rest of this interview, I’m going to ask myself the questions that I believe that I should be asked.’ I was silent for the whole time.”
The Finish Line is available on BBC iPlayer.
