Fruin, Blair lead in Larkspur-Corte Madera School District board race
Ava Fruin was leading with 34.58%, or 1,911 votes, followed by Beth Blair with 29.93%, or 1,654 votes, in the Larkspur-Corte Madera School District board of trustees race, according to preliminary results released Tuesday.
They are followed by Rachel Tarko Hudson with 18.62%, or 1,029 votes, and Charles Furcolo with 16.87%, or 932 votes.
Blair, an incumbent, was elected in November 2022 to fill the unexpired term of Jill Sellers. Sellers stepped down with two years left on her term.
Furcolo is a finance specialist; Hudson, an attorney; and Fruin, an education technology director.
Incumbent Annie Sherman declined to seek reelection.
The board oversees a district of 1,174 students between two elementary schools and a middle school. The district has an annual budget of about $25 million.
