Rep. Tom Kean Jr. wins reelection for House seat in New Jersey
NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – Republican incumbent Rep. Tom Kean Jr. retained his U.S. House seat representing New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District, beating Democrat Sue Altman.
The district covers Hunterdon and Warren counties as well as parts of Morris, Somerset, Sussex, and Union counties.
This marks Kean’s second term. He beat the previous Democratic incumbent, Tom Malinowski, in 2022.
The race for NJ-7 was dubbed one of the state’s congressional races to watch after Sue Altman raised over $2 million in fundraising, a benchmark that few candidates have matched.
Kean comes from a lineage of Republican leaders, including his father, former Gov. Thomas H. Kean, Sr., and his grandfather, former U.S. Rep. Robert Kean.
