'Down to Wisconsin': Analyst says Harris is looking good in two crucial swing states
Former Vice President Kamala Harris' strong position in two vital swing states suggests the election could be decided in one whose most populous city former President Donald Trump notoriously described as "horrible," a Washington Post analyst said.
Columnist E.J. Dionne wrote Tuesday night that he was impressed by Harris' showing in Pennsylvania — where she's taken a strong lead in several crucial counties — and Michigan.
"Harris is running very well in places she needs to win in Pennsylvania," said Dionne, "and there are a lot of uncounted votes in Philly and Montgomery counties."
Dionne added, "she looks good in Michigan, though lots of votes are still to come in."

Should Harris claim the two swing states and their collective 34 electoral college votes, the race could be decided in the state Trump insulted before it hosted the Republican National Convention.
"Assuming those end up with her," wrote Dionne, "it could come down to Wisconsin."

Trump in June reportedly called Milwaukee, its most populous metropolis a "horrible city."
In 2020, President Joe Biden won Wisconsin with 1,630,866 votes, roughly 20,000 more than Trump's 1,610,184, Politico reported. In Milwaukee, Biden claimed 317,527 votes while Trump took just 134,482. That's a difference of more than 183,000.
