FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Happy Tuesday!
We've got record warmth on tap for Election Day, with gusty winds on tap, too. Expect highs in the upper 70s to near 80, with sustained winds 10-20 MPH, and gusts 35-40 MPH into the afternoon. It will be windiest in our northwestern counties. The great news is, rain holds off until after voting hours.
We have an approaching cold front that brings rain to Central Ohio close to midnight tonight, and continues through Wednesday morning. Keep the rain gear handy out the door tomorrow, as we will see some heavier pockets of rain during tomorrow's morning drive. Rain gradually gets lighter into Wednesday afternoon. We'll be breezy, with highs falling back to the upper 60s.
That frontal boundary stalls a bit into Thursday, so it leaves parts of the area with some isolated shower activity, mainly for our southern counties. We'll see gradual clearing, with highs in the middle 60s.
Then by Friday, expect more sunshine, with highs sticking in the middle 60s, which keeps us well above average for this point in the year.
Saturday looks good for the most part, with gradually increasing cloud coverage, ahead of showers arriving late Saturday and into Sunday.
