Watch moment viral pygmy hippo Moo Deng predicts 2024 US election winner – as cute creature turns psychic
VIRAL pygmy hippo Moo Deng has predicted the winner of the US election as voting closes in a matter of hours.
The sweet hippo from Thailand, who took the internet by storm with her funny antics, has now waded into politics and made her choice between the Democrats and the Republicans.

In a video recorded on Monday, Moo, whose name means “bouncy pork” was given two piles of fruit made to look like cake.
One featured the name Donald Trump and the other, Kamala Harris.
The keeper made his way through the crowds who have surrounded the hippo’s enclosure since she went viral, before placing both melon treats on the ground.
Moo and her mother Jona slowly emerged from their pool, appearing rather hesitant to engage in one of the hottest political topics of the year.
“Who will be president of America in the next 48 hours? Let’s find out,” the caption on Instagram read.
Under the watchful eye of her mother, the baby hippo went directly to Trump’s fruit cake, predicting a Republican return to the White House.
“On this occasion, I would like to make a prediction and choose the winner to be a man,” the caption added.
Meanwhile, the vice-president’s fruit was left to be devoured by Jona.
“Yay, Moo Deng! Animals always know,” one follower wrote in response to the video on X.
“This is huge,” another joked.
“Is Moo Deng the new Punxsutawney Phil but for elections?” a third wrote, referencing the famous Pennsylvanian groundhog who predicts the arrival of spring on Ground Hog Day in the US.
Moo went viral with her irresistible charm and quirky personality that saw her comically fleeing from bath time or making out like she was screaming before calmly awaiting a petting or mimicking chewing.
While the national polls show a neck-and-neck race between Harris and Trump, Moo beat both of them in a spoof poll on The Tonight Show.
In this unofficial presidential poll, the pygmy hippo beat both candidates with 93% of the vote.
‘POISON CHALICE’
However, it is not just the baby hippo who has used the election to demonstrate her psychic powers.
A top astrologer who predicted the Covid pandemic told The Sun that US voters are set to face months of misery.
Astrology expert and seasoned psychic Jessica Adams revealed that the “incredibly tight” race between Harris and Trump could drag on until 2025.
Adams spelt chaos and weeks or months-long debates about the winner of the election, saying that at least a few states would make recounts.
She believes that the election could echo that of the race between George W Bush and Al Gore in 2000 where a recount was called in Florida and voters had to wait more than a month for an answer.
She added that the winner of the election will be met with a “poison chalice.”
With millions of Americans having already cast their votes with early voting, millions more are set to make their way to the polls today before they close at 6 pm ET.
As all eyes are set firmly on the US, a tiny town made up of just six people has already announced its election results.
Dixville Notch in New Hampshire has a tradition of its tiny population casting their ballots at midnight.
Just 10 minutes into Election Day, voting officials declared the results which reflected just how tight this race is.
The votes from Dixville Notch were evenly split between Trump and Harris with each candidate receiving three votes.
On Monday evening, Harris claimed a small lead in the polls but both camps insist that they are “feeling good” about a win after a gruelling final day of campaigning in key battleground states.
Harris was joined by a slew of celebrities in Philadelphia while Trump told his rival “You’re fired” as he promised voters in Michigan he would deliver the US to “new heights of glory.”
