The Nation's Weather for Tuesday, November 5, 2024
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
This Election Day, a narrow stormy corridor can extend from
Louisiana to Indiana and Illinois where downpours may affect
those waiting in line outside to vote. Meanwhile, rainy
weather is anticipated across the northern Midwest and Great
Lakes states. The Southeast will be mostly dry with a spotty
shower in Alabama and Georgia. Elsewhere, a storm moving
through the Northwest will spread snow showers from southern
Canada to northern Colorado. A few snowflakes may fly in the
higher elevations of Washington and Oregon, particularly
above 6,000 feet. Extremely dry weather will continue in the
Northeast and, with great warmth that includes temperatures
10 to 15 degrees Fahrenheit above the historical average, it
will feel more like late summer. Santa Ana winds will begin
across Southern California.
