Lady Gaga’s Chic, Laid-Back Style for Kamala Harris’ Philadelphia Rally Included 10-Inch Platform Heels
Lady Gaga has lent her vocal support to Kamala Harris‘ campaign for president of the United States. The pop star was one of many A-list performers who took to the concert stage at Harris’ final rallies in the swing state of Pennsylvania on Nov. 4, the evening before Election Day.
Gaga’s look for the night was her own unique take on casual dressing, but any fans would know that’s not the singer’s style. Her look included a lose fitting motorcycle leather jacket, a white T-Shirt and slim leg blue jeans. She completed the look with her go-to Pleaser USA, Inc. shoe. She opted for the towering patent leather Pleaser platforms, which include sky-high heels heels, laces and a thick sole, which she has worn on more than one occasion in the past.
The Grammy winner sat at a piano to give a rendition of “God Bless America” before introducing Harris’ husband Douglas Emhoff. Gaga then returned to the stage at the end of the night to close things out with her hit song “Edge of Glory.”
Gaga posted a video on social media the day before the event, saying, “It’s time to get ready to vote. See you guys in Pennsylvania.” A caption on the video reads “HARRIS WALZ 2024!!”
Harris campaigned in Pennsylvania throughout the day, and certainly did not confine herself to just one city — throughout Election Day Eve, she stopped by Allentown, Reading and Pittsburgh in a final push to make the state turn out blue. With endorsements from across the entertainment industry, Harris had the support of Katy Perry as well, who performed at the rally in Pittsburgh.
Gaga has shown her support for the Democratic party in the past. For example, she performed the National Anthem at President Joe Biden’s inauguration in January 2021, where she wore a custom Schiaparelli gown. She also joined Biden on the campaign trail.
Among her myriad creative pursuits, Gaga recently dropped her single “Disease,” starred in “Joker: Folie à Deux” opposite Joaquin Phoenix and released the ballad “Die With a Smile” with Bruno Mars. For an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” last month ahead of the release of the “Joker” sequel, the multitalented artist wore a heeled shoe with balletic design cues, including shining ribbons wrapping around the ankle. The shoe is the Pink Pointe Pump from the brand Madomorpho. See more of Gaga’s striking footwear choices below.
