Under the banner of Marvel Television Studios, Agatha All Along will be submitted in the comedy categories for the upcoming awards season, including the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, and next year’s Emmy race, Variety reports.
Although it was conceived as a miniseries, the announcement regarding the show’s category submission “strongly indicates that Agatha All Along, which follows the morally complex yet irresistibly charismatic witch Agatha Harkness, could continue beyond a single season,” the outlet notes.
The Television Academy’s criteria for limited series reads as follows: “The program must tell a complete, non-recurring story and not have an ongoing storyline or main characters in subsequent seasons.”
There has still been no official word from Disney or Marvel regarding a renewal of the series, but the studio would have to prove to the TV Academy that more seasons are in the works. Stay tuned!
