What's open and closed on Election Day in NYC?
NEW YORK (PIX11) --- As New Yorkers head to the polls on Election Day, some New York City agencies will operate as usual while others will be closed.
Voters will cast ballots in federal, state, and local elections on Tuesday, including the race for president between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump.
Voting locations will be open in New York City from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

What is the MTA schedule on Election Day?
New York City's buses, subways, Metro-North, and Long Island Rail Road operate as usual. So are New Jersey Transit and PATH trains.
Are courts open on Election Day?
The city and state courts are closed on Tuesday.
Will schools be open on Election Day?
New York City schools will be closed. While many students aren’t old enough to vote, students age 17 and older can work as student poll workers to earn $250 for a day of work.
Is there garbage pickup on Election Day?
New Yorkers who regularly have Tuesday for garbage collection will have to wait until later in the week for trash removal.
Is alternate-side parking in effect?
Alternate-side parking rules are suspended.
