'Unauthorized activity' detected in Washington court systems Monday
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Court systems in the state of Washington was proactively taken down Monday morning after court officials detected “unauthorized activity” in their network.
Washington’s Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) confirmed to KOIN 6 News that officials “took immediate action to secure critical systems” following the detection and are currently working to restore services “as quickly as possible.”
“AOC is working closely with third-party partners to safely restore and test our systems and determine what, if any, impact there is to the network,” the office said. “There will be intermittent impacts to accessibility of the Washington Courts website and other systems in the coming days as this work continues.”
Details about the unauthorized activity remain unclear.
