J.D. Vance calls Kamala Harris 'trash' at Michigan rally
Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as "trash" during a rally where he also complained about Donald Trump supporters being called "garbage."
At a rally in Flint, Michigan, on the eve of Tuesday's election, Vance suggested President Joe Biden had called Trump's followers "garbage" after a speaker at a MAGA rally referred to Puerto Ricans with the same term.
"We don't need to attack our fellow citizens just because they have the wrong politics," Vance said. "Even if people vote the wrong way, you know what, they're still our fellow citizens, and we're still going to fight for them anyway because we love this country, and that means loving everybody who calls this place home."
"So reject the example of Kamala Harris," he continued. "Reject somebody who wants to call us racist for believing that we should have a border. Reject calling our fellow citizens garbage because we think that Kamala Harris is doing a bad job."

Vance said he had "a simple message to Kamala Harris."
"No, our fellow citizens are not garbage for thinking that you're doing a terrible job, but tomorrow, the state of Michigan is going to take out the trash in Washington, D.C.," he opined.
