This Royal Gave Their Kid the Most Magical Frozen-Themed Birthday Party We’ve Ever Seen
You’d think as a royal that birthday parties would be the definition of extravagant. While the British royal family seemingly keeps their kids’ birthdays more intimate and lowkey, that isn’t the case for all royals. In fact, Prince Leka, the Crown Prince of Albania, went all out for his daughter, Princess Geraldine’s fourth birthday, and made the most insanely cool Frozen-themed birthday party.
In photos and videos obtained by Hello! Magazine, we can see that Leka ensured Geraldine would have the most magical, whimsical Frozen-themed party ever.
As we can see in the photos and videos, he went all out: there was a snow-filled castle, a balloon arch, a bubble machine, a huge Elsa cardboard cutout and bubble machine; all the makings for an insanely cool birthday.
Along with that, Geraldine looked like a lil Disney princess in a caped blue dress with beaded icicles from, Bel Eve, and blew candles out from a multi-tiered cake from ‘Sara Event.’
Leka actually spoke to the outlet about the big occasion, and how it was so different from the formal parties he’s grown accustomed to.
“Geraldine has reached an age where she delights in the excitement of birthday celebrations, especially when surrounded by friends,” he said to the outlet. “To make her day special, I decided to host a Frozen-themed party at a central hotel in Tirana, inviting friends with children of a similar age. The atmosphere was vibrant, and while it was certainly different from the more formal events usually hosted by the Royal Family, it was a joy to see both parents and children enjoying themselves immensely.”
Now, why Frozen? Well, Geraldine is obsessed with the 2013 smash hit Disney film, which follows Princess Anna, who tries to rescue her sister, Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped their kingdom into an eternal winter.
“Geraldine adores the enchanting world of castles and princesses. Her favourite character is Elsa from Frozen, whom she admires for her fair features and blond hair,” he said. “She loves role-playing as Elsa, a character who beautifully embodies strength, independence, and grace – a magical royal spirit that resonates with her. Watching her immerse herself in this magical world was a highlight in itself.”
For those who don’t know, the Crown Prince of Albania and his ex-wife, Elia Zaharia, first got together in 2010. They got engaged soon after meeting, and married in Oct 2016. Four years later, on Oct 2020, they welcomed a daughter named Princess Geraldine Sibilla Francesca Susan Marie.
While they continue to co-parent, they did announce on Jan 2024 that they’d be divorcing, and three months later, it was finalized.
