BCFC Foundation Men’s Talking Group
Good Afternoon All
Regular viewer but first time poster. Please be gentle with me ????
Just giving this group another mention on the eve of our first meeting.
I would like to thank both Jake Malbasa and Jeremy Dale from the Birmingham City Foundation for supporting this new venture that is opening its doors for the first time tomorrow evening; Tuesday November 5th at the new Community Hub on Emmeline Street, running every Tuesday (excluding match days) from 6.30pm-8.00pm.
The group is a peer to peer group and our aim is to create a safe environment where men can support each other by shared life experiences, build relationships from different backgrounds and also with the help of the Birmingham Samaritans get signposting to the services in place to support mental health.
Our commitment to the fanbase of Birmingham City, is we will run this group for as long as you the fans feel it is needed. Our strap line being, if we think we can help just one person, it will all be worthwhile.
Speaking from my own personal experience, I know how valuable these groups can be, come along, see for yourself. If you have any doubts/concerns please send me a pm or even better come along tomorrow evening. There is no pressure to talk or share your story, just come and experience the group for yourself.
Thanks for all of the support we have received already from so many fellow Bluenoses, it has been truly humbling.
Many Thanks
Wayne Curran, Shaun McGrory and the Birmingham City Foundation
