Spurs fans will love what Harry Kane said about 4-1 win over Aston Villa
Harry Kane still seems to be Tottenham through and through, with the striker expressing delight at his former side’s thumping win over Aston Villa on Sunday.
Statement performance
Many expect Villa once again to be Tottenham’s direct competitors for a top-four spot this season, and Ange Postecoglou’s men sent out a clear message by thrashing the Midlands club on Sunday.
The result saw the Lilywhites move to within two points of the Villans as well as their North London rivals, and once again shows how devastating the Lilywhites can be when they are at their best.
Harry Kane was watching
It turns out that Harry Kane also tuned in from Munich to watch Tottenham, and he was delighted with their second-half performance.
The 31-year-old, who netted a brace in Bayern Munich’s 3-0 win over Union Berlin on Saturday, was impressed with his former teammates, who he referred to as “the boys”.
When asked on Cleats Club if he watched the Spurs game, Kane responded: “I did. Great second half.” When asked how he was doing, he said: “A chilled Sunday with the family and watched the Spurs game.”
In a separate audio message, the England captain also remarked: “Watched Spurs win 4-1 and great second-half from the boys.”
Kane still has a big soft spot for Spurs
It is clear that Kane still harbours enormous affection for Tottenham, with the striker seemingly watching the side play whenever he can do so.
Some Tottenham fans may be dreaming of a potential reunion in the future and one would not be surprised if there is another chapter added to the striker’s Spurs story.
