Police investigating drowning at Consett Bay
Police in the Southern Division are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of 60-year-old Anthony Beetram Bradshaw of College Savannah, St. John.
His body was found unresponsive after being pulled from the water at Consett Bay around 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 3.
According to reports, Bradshaw was seen entering the water near the Consett Bay jetty around 3:50 p.m. A few minutes later, onlookers noticed he was in some difficulty. The alarm was raised and a resident from the area went to his assistance and brought him to shore.
Personnel from the Barbados Ambulance Service responded but found no signs of life. A medical doctor later pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have information that could assist in this investigation to contact the District ‘C’ Police Station at 418-8200, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477), or the nearest police station.
