The rising baby names set to be 2025’s most popular, from boys called Beckham to Margot – and the trends driving them
CELEBRITIES are set to drive baby name trends more than ever in 2025, an expert has revealed.
Monikers held by our favourite celebs or their children are inspiring millions of new parents across the globe, says baby name consultant Colleen Slagen.

George will be the most common boy name, Colleen predicts.
This moniker is shared by future king, Prince George of Wales, and a plethora of A Listers, including George Clooney and the late George Michael.
The name Beckham (the surname of the Posh and Becks dynasty) will also be popular among baby boys next year.
“Surnames will be on the rise for both genders,” Colleen says.
And following the birth of Kourtney Kardashian’s fourth child, whom she shares with Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, this year, Rocky will be a favoured boy’s name in 2025.
“Many celebrities are still leading the way with their more unusual choices,” Colleen explains
“I think it is contributing to the rise of what I call Merriam-Webster names: nouns and adjectives being adopted as baby names.
“TV shows can also have a huge impact on names.
“Yellowstone led the way in the rise of cowboy names like Kayce, Tate and Dutton, and Bridgerton has increased the posh and regal-sounding names such as Daphne and Florence.”
At the top of the girls’ list for 2025 is Margot – a name popularised in the UK by Barbie star Margot Robbie and shared by Billie Faiers’ youngest child.
The name Billie is also set to be a popular girls name next year too.
“I used to get a lot of requests for gender-neutral names that lean feminine,” Colleen says.
“However, now I get more and more requests for true ‘boy names’ for girls.
