March for Our Lives cofounder David Hogg thinks there’s still hope for our political system
The Parkland shooting survivor launched the Leaders We Deserve political action committee to get young progressives into office.
After the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland Florida in 2018, David Hogg and his classmates organized millions of people to campaign against gun violence. He helped launch nonprofit March for Our Lives, which lobbies for gun control legislation. After graduating from Harvard last year, he cofounded Leaders We Deserve, a political action committee dedicated to getting young progressive candidates elected to office. Hogg and his Leaders We Deserve cofounder Kevin Latta came on the Most Innovative Companies podcast to talk about the barriers younger people face when running for office, what advantages they have, and why he has hope for the future.
