7 train subway service restored after partial suspension in Queens
QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Subway service for the 7 train has been restored with severe delays in both directions after partial line suspension in Queens on Saturday, according to the MTA.
A person was struck by a train just before 11 a.m. causing the line to be suspended in both directions between Queensboro Plaza and Mets-Willets Point, as posted on the MTA's website.
For alternate service during the delays, riders are suggested to take Q32, Q23, Q48, Q60, or Q72 buses to nearby stations for the E, F, and R stations. LIRR was previously crossing-honor subway riders from Flushing-Main St to Penn Station or Grand Central-Madison.
Emergency teams responded to someone who was struck by a train at the 82 St-Jackson Hts subway station. How the person got onto the tracks was not immediately made clear.
