A WOMAN who used to be a WAG has revealed just how tough it can be in the spotlight.
Stephanie Heaney, dated former Rangers hero Nacho Nov for two years before dumping him.
The Playboy model and former WAG claimed it was “rare” to find a footballer who can be trusted.
She discussed the issues WAGS face after saying Kyle Walker‘s wife Annie Kilner is right to file for divorce.
Annie is thought to be fighting for half of the footballer’s £27 million fortune last month after he fathered a second child with Lauryn Goodman.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Stephanie revealed: ““There are loyal and decent footballers out there who wouldn’t dream of treating their wife or girlfriends with any disrespect but it is rare.
“Being a footballer’s wife and girlfriend is incredibly hard.”
She revealed you need to have thick skin and be able to cope with rumours of cheating.
“You have to be very thick-skinned and have a really trusting relationship; otherwise, it is doomed,” she continued.
Stephanie and Nacho first met in 2017, and four years later, she has now opened up about the relationship and what comes with dating someone in the limelight.
She said: “I went through hell. Having to deal with women here, there and everywhere messaging me constantly to say ‘oh your man’s messaging me’.
“If I spoke out and defended myself or had the proof this was happening, no matter what I was a target to the fans.
“Your personal life becomes everyone’s business, and it really does cause a lot of stress and anxiety. You can’t win against millions of fans.”
Stephanie was celebrated in 2022 after becoming Scotland’s oldest Playboy model at the age of 38.
But looking back on her relationship with a footballer, she said she even had to ditch family to make the relationship work.
She revealed she had to cut them out because they failed to protect or care about the bullying she faced after the breakup.

The dad-of-six welcomed his two children with Lauryn behind his wife’s back in 2020 and 2023.

A source said: “Kyle was stunned when he got the papers.
“He’s spoken to Annie about them and they are discussing the next steps.
“This doesn’t necessarily mean they will divorce.
“This is as much Annie flexing her muscles as it is anything else.
“She wants Kyle to know she’s not messing about. But if this is a bluff, it may well back-fire.”
