‘Just missing the live, laugh, love sign!’ trolls joke as woman shows off all grey furniture set she nabbed for £300
A WOMAN has found herself under fire after sharing pictures of the all grey furniture haul she nabbed for £300.
Louise was so thrilled about her mega bargain from the Debenhams website that she took to Facebook to excitedly share it with others.
A woman took to Facebook to share a look at the new grey furniture she got for £303[/caption] She got the whole set from Debenhams, choosing grey to go with her front room[/caption] The room had grey carpet, a grey rug and sparkly wallpaper[/caption] When another pointed out that it just needed a ‘live, laugh, love’ sign, others drew their attention to the decal on the wall[/caption]In her post on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, she explained that she’d managed to pick up a coffee table, TV wall unit, two cupboard cabinets “with loads of storage” and a console table.
And Louise’s haul from the store’s Berkfield Home range set her back just £303.
“The TV unit all opens up with slow opening hinges so it’s full of storage!” she added.
Louise also shared pictures of her front room set up with the new furniture, alongside the grey carpet, grey rug, crushed velvet table and chairs, sparkly wallpaper and crystal chandeliers.
But trolls were quick to comment on the pictures, with some pointing out that the crushed velvet trend goes hand-in-hand with the once-popular, now cliche signs.
“Just missing the live laugh love sign!” one joked.
However, others pointed out that he “must have missed” another of the pictures, which showed one of the walls covered in a decal which read “Family is…” and then had words such as “patience” and “love” surrounding it.
“You must have missed the whole wall of it lol!” someone else laughed.
Others were more complimentary, however.
“Your home is beautiful,” one wrote.
“Is this online?” another asked.
To which Louise replied: “Yes!
“I was looking for a specific range, so I typed in Berkfield Home concrete grey.
“Which is this specific range.”
Trends interior designers hate
IF you want to ensure that your home looks glam, here are the trends that interior designers can't stand.
NO YELLOW: According to Bilal Rehman, yellow paint in a bedroom is a big no no.
He said: “If you want everyone to know you’re a horse girl then yellow is perfect for you.”
SIGN OFF: Kelly Hoppen shared her honest thoughts on Live, Love, Laugh signs.
The interior pro explained: “Another gripe of mine – Live, Laugh, Love – those kinds of wooden things that sit on book shelves and floating shelves, that’s so 10, 12, 15 years ago.”
NO GREY YAY: Julie Provenzano explained that grey interiors have been overdone.
She stressed: “We took a good thing and we overdid it to the point that it now feels copy, paste, basic.”
“Your lounge looks fabulous,” someone else praised.
“Wow this looks amazing!” another wrote.
“You’ve made such good use of the space and it’s so homely.
“I’d move in!”
“Wow, very homely nice colours,” someone else commented.
The “live, laugh, love” trend was popular a few years ago, but then became somewhat overdone – with thousands of memes poking fun at the quote swirling on the Internet.
Someone took to Reddit to ask why the trend had gone out of style, to which another explained: “It doesn’t mean anything of substance.
“It’s like (and often associated with) having a sign that says ‘eat’ in the kitchen or ‘relax’ in the living room.
“Like yeah, duh!”
As another added: “It was always naff.
“It’s always been the realm of a certain type of person.
“Same as crushed velvet, chairs with door knobs on the back, and the colour grey.”
But others insisted they’re still a fan of the trend, with one hitting back: “I might be a basic b**ch but I like the sentiment.
“I have had to make a rule that there are no ‘quotes’ in my house because my house would end up looking like a B&M version of the school toilets.”
