Thunder Roll Over Blazers, Improve to 5-0
The Oklahoma City Thunder outscored Portland by 21 points in the third quarter and cruised to a 137-114 win over the Trail Blazers on Friday night at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.
The Thunder improved to 5-0 for the first time since 2011-12, and they've won 13 straight over the Blazers.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 30 points to lead OKC, who built a 17-point lead in the first half, then were tied at halftime at 68.
OKC took charge in the third quarter, outscoring Portland 38-17, and eventually building their lead to 28 in the second half.
Jalen Williams had 22 points and knocked down four three-pointers of the 19 OKC made as a team.
Four other Thunder players scored in double figures.
Aaron Wiggins and Cason Wallace both had 13 points and made three 3-pointers.
Isaiah Joe had 12 points and made three 3's, and Ousmane Dieng added 11 points.
Nine Thunder players made at least one three-pointer.
OKC shot 54 percent from the field and forced 19 Portland turnovers.
The Thunder are 5-0 for just the second time in team history.
They finish their brief road trip Saturday night at the L.A. Clippers at 9:30 pm.
