Trump saw this rapper as his campaign surrogate — she just voted for Kamala Harris
Rapper Sexyy Red seemed like she was in former President Donald Trump's corner. She performed at the New York Governor's Ball Music Festival with a modified MAGA hat. Last year, she said, “They support him in the hood ... once he started getting Black people out of jail and giving people that free money. Aww, baby, we love Trump. We need him back in office.”
Trump also reportedly considered her a key surrogate as he tried to drum up support among rappers to reach out to young Black voters.
But on Friday, she endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, reported Rolling Stone. The pivotal issue in the decision, according to Red's post to X announcing the switch, was women's rights.
"I just voted!!! Don’t tell us what to do with our coochies!! #Kamala4President," she wrote.

This is the second time in a week that Trump lost a celebrity supporter who is prominent in nonwhite circles.
Nicky Jam, a Reggaeton star of Puerto Rican descent, made waves earlier this week by withdrawing his endorsement of the former president over a comedian's racist routine at Trump's rally in Madison Square Garden in which he called Puerto Rico a "floating island of garbage." That endorsement was already in limbo though as Jam quietly took down a post supporting Trump after the former president confusedly thought he was a woman and proclaimed him "hot."
Red's rebuke of Trump comes as the former president grapples with his struggle to win over women voters, privately demanding to know from his aides why women don't care for him since he has made it his mission to "protect" the women of America.
