Man found dead in Parkrose neighborhood in August identified

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Police have released the identity of a man found dead in the Parkrose neighborhood back in August.
The early morning of Aug. 25, officers responded to a call that a body had been found in the area of 10700 NE Fremont St.
Upon finding the body, police say they could not immediately identify the person as a man or woman, due to the state of the remains.
However, police have now identified the man was 49-year-old Vincent Buttafuoco.
Officials said Buttafuoco's cause of death is unknown at this time and the case is still under investigation.
