Fortnite players warned to queue up early for Remix: The Prelude live event
FORTNITE is wrapping up a season today, and the next one will launch with the Fortnite Remix: The Prelude live event tonight.
Fans are eager to see what’s in store for the Chapter 2 Remix which begins tomorrow, November 2, but Epic Games has warned players of long queues in the lead-up to the live event.
In a post on the Fortnite Status account on Twitter/X, players are urged to log in a few hours early, as they may miss the event if the wait for the last minute.
Remix: The Prelude is due to start this evening, November 1, 2024, and you can check the exact times in our Fortnite Remix Chapter 2 start times explainer.
Players are usually allowed in about half an hour before the event, but this time you may want to hop on the game earlier, so you don’t miss out.
Shortly before The Prelude starts, the Restored Reels POI on the map will become a protected area, meaning that players there won’t be able to kill each other.
This should allow you to safely drop in the area and wait for the live event to begin.
Epic Games did not specify how long before the event it will enable the no damage zone, which has some players worried they may get killed in a match and miss out on The Prelude.
One player wrote on Twitter/X: “Hopefully 25-30 minutes before the event otherwise if we die we may not be able to queue back in”.
The Prelude will become available in the Battle Royale and Zero Build modes of the game.
The countdown timer is already ticking in the game’s lobby ahead of the live event.
Players have also spotted the timer in-game at Restored Reels where Remix: The Prelude will take place.
So make sure you log into Fortnite early to beat the queue and get to the event on time.
