Several people recommended making the most of heat sources in the home.
“If you spin high then after, hang clothes up if possible on a door frame or window and [it] works a treat!” suggested one person.
“Heat rises from radiators [and] heaters.
She explained that you should avoid putting your clothes directly on your radiators as they then have to work harder and “your pockets will empty more.”
Another social media user revealed the work-around they use to dry their clothes using their central heating.
“[I use] clothes hangers and put them on a curtain rail above a radiator,” the commenter wrote.
Another person agreed with this simple trick, pointing out an additional benefit.
“[I] put mine on coat hangers and hang them on curtain pole above all my radiators,” they said.
“[They] dry in no time and [it] makes your house smell nice too.”
Another homeowner shared the extra step they take to air out their clothes in the winter.
“I use radiators with window open a bit, airer stand, and if I need more space I hang tops [and] jumpers on hangers and use the door frames,” they explained.
