Crisp fall weather returns in time for start of November
Cooler weather and a mix of sun and clouds followed in the wake of the cold front that crossed the state. Afternoon temperatures will be nearly 20 degrees cooler than the past few days, in the upper 50s.
High pressure will settle in at the start of the weekend. Temperatures Friday and Saturday will top out near 60 degrees during the afternoon, with cool mornings in the upper 30s and low 40s.
A warm front lifting north will bring showers on Sunday across the northwest part of Ohio, with milder afternoon readings reaching the upper 60s under a partly cloudy sky. Some clouds will linger on Monday, with another breezy warmup into the mid-70s and a small change for a passing shower.
Election Day on Tuesday will be breezy and quite warm, with record-challenging afternoon readings in the mid- to upper 70s ahead of a frontal system that will bring showers later in the day into early Wednesday. Cooler and dry weather will return midweek.
